Senior Accountant

Life’s better when you love what you do, right?

We base everything we do around what’s best for the customer and what will help to add value to their business. At the same time, we offer our team a flexible and supportive working environment with opportunities to grow and develop their career.

‘Fit’ is a non-negotiable for us – you’ll love working for us because of who we are and what we do, and we’ll love having you on board. We are evolving as a business, so you’ll be excited by the prospect of continuous improvement (and dare we say it, ‘change’). We encourage out-of-the-box thinking and inquisitiveness, and we embrace our collective genius because each of us has valuable life and business experiences to offer.

We have opportunities available across our business for individuals who inherently think and act like we do.

Our customers are successful SME and high-end businesses operating across a range of industries, and we are on the look-out for an individual not only with senior accounting experience, but the passion and drive to really get alongside our customers and forge solid relationships. Ideally you will be CA or CPA qualified, alternatively you will have loads of relevant, transferrable experience. You’ll also understand what it’s like to work in a CA firm.

This is not your traditional accounting role, and we’re not just about compliance. You will be someone who gets excited by working with business owners and helping them understand their numbers, and likewise you will be passionate about the success of their business. Your typical day will extend to providing tangible value-add business advice to business owners. You’ll love the feeling of sharing in a customer’s success, but also strive for the best outcome when things get a little tougher.

Our cloud-based systems (such as Xero, Spotlight, Futrli, Figured and Cash Manager) and flexibility mean we don’t miss a beat, so working from home can be accommodated when necessary.

So what are the nuts and bolts of this role? First and foremost, your personality is dynamic, so you’ll naturally forge brilliant relationships with our customers as well as your extended team. You will display excellent technical and commercial acumen through tax planning, cashflows, budgeting and other advisory work. Monthly and quarterly management reporting for key customers will be a key part of your work, and finally, preparation of year-end financial statements and tax returns. Internally, you will be a valued extension of your local Business Partner, as well as highly respected by your colleagues.
