Senior Accountant

Wairarapa

Come work with us!

At RightWay, we have created a fantastic working model ensuring that we base everything we do around what's best for the client and what will help to add value to their business. At the same time, we offer our team a flexible and supportive working environment with opportunities to grow and develop their career.

Our clients are successful SME and high-end businesses operating across a range of industries. We are in the process of switching to a localised model and with that, a more personalised service for our clients. We are on the look-out for an individual not only with senior accounting experience, but the passion and drive to really get alongside our clients and forge solid relationships. Ideally you will be CA or CPA qualified, alternatively you will have loads of relevant experience. You'll also understand what it's like to work in a CA firm.

As you might have gathered, this is not your traditional accounting role, and we're not just about compliance. You will be someone who gets excited by working with business owners, helping them understand their numbers, and passionate about the success of their business. Your typical day will extend into the realm of providing tangible value-add business advice to business owners. You'll love the feeling of sharing in a client's success, but also strive for the best outcome when things get a little tougher.

Our cloud-based systems (such as Xero, Spotlight, Futrli, Figured and Cash Manager) and flexibility mean we don't miss a beat, so working from home can be accommodated when necessary. Our bricks and mortar Wairarapa base is in Martinborough, however we are open to where else you may wish to work in the region.

So what are the nuts and bolts of this role? First and foremost, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of clients. You will display excellent technical and commercial acumen through tax planning, cash flows, budgeting and other advisory work. Naturally monthly and quarterly management reporting for key clients will be a key part of your work, and finally, preparation of year-end financial statements and tax returns. Internally, you will be a valued extension of your local Business Partner, as well as the wider RightWay team.

If this opportunity speaks to you, you want to be part of the RightWay team, and are passionate about helping businesses be the best they can be, email Rachel Harris on rachel.harris@rightway.co.nz for a confidential discussion.
