DESCRIBE A TYPICAL DAY AT (OR OUT OF) THE OFFICE

I work with my customers in real time, often at their place of work if that’s easiest for them. And I make sure we catch up regularly throughout the year, to ensure they’re on the right track and hitting their targets.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB?

I love working alongside my customers and being their trusted advisor. I most enjoy seeing them progress and achieve their goals, and helping them understand their financial statements so they have confidence in the numbers. Most of all I love getting to know each customer better and finding out what really matters to them.

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO RIGHTWAY?

I am a Dunedin local, born and bred, and I love living here. I studied at the University of Otago and chose RightWay as it’s an innovate accounting and advisory firm that puts its customers and staff first. Our business model is based on using technology well to ensure we do the numbers as efficiently as possible. This lets us concentrate on giving our customers sound support and business advice.

WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?

I love reading biographies of interesting and inspiring people, which always motivates me to be innovative. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I love listening to Spotify so I can keep up with what the kids are into.

WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF BUSINESS OR LIFE ADVICE YOU EVER RECEIVED?

Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.

DESCRIBE YOUR HAPPY PLACE?
