I love helping businesses grow from strength to strength, by sharing the tools and tactics that give owners insight on how they can best operate. Let’s talk.
Cash flow and Forecasting, Business KPI’s
Each day is different depending on what my customers need. During the week I'll typically head into RightWay's Wellington office where I'll chat to them about their business, or I'll be behind the computer keeping their compliance shipshape. In the evening I might go to hockey practice or catch up with mates, but if it's the weekend I like to go on a bit of an adventure. I'm originally from Perth so there's still lots of New Zealand to see and explore. Oh, and lots of coffee! I can't do a day without coffee!
I love seeing businesses go from strength to strength. Making a positive difference in local business is my favourite part of the job – not only is it meaningful for the owners, but the way it takes shape is totally different every time. I never get tired of it.
RightWay has an awesome culture. We want to make business better, and have fun doing it. I initially started in the business as an Accountant, with a goal to eventually work as a Business Partner, because the advisory aspect seemed so much fun. I wanted to be able to make a difference in people's lives, while being in an environment where I’m supported to do that in a way that works for me.
I love sports, so I'd want to be seated with my childhood sporting heroes, Wayne Gretzky and Mats Sundin, eating my Nonna's homemade pasta – can't beat a traditional recipe.
I love snowboarding, so it would be on a mountain, strapped into a board and feeling the snow fall down in absolute silence.
‘Life doesn't throw you anything you can't handle.’ I say this because in both business and life, you can never plan everything perfectly. Even if you have a great plan, things can still come at you that you don't expect. The key to being a resilient business owner is knowing you can handle those challenges, and surrounding yourself with people who can help you through them, like a good business advisor.
